Voluntary Diagnosis Visit to Pengzhou Harmonious New Home Welfare House

On May 9, 2010, Doctor Jia Ligen, together with Sun Boan, Luo Min and other doctors, visited Pengzhou Harmonious New Home Welfare House and gave voluntary medical examination to over 30 aged and orphan patients. We go to see them every month or so. Last time was on April 16, and we made diagnosis of epilepsy, asthma, urethritis, hypertension, diabetes (the blood-glucose meter presented by the foundation enabled them to examine themselves), etc. And this time, we took the medicine that was purchased and prepared soon after the visit. We set off from Chengdu at 7:30 am and returned at 6:00 pm.
We were pleased that two epilepsy patients didn’t have any seizure for the whole month after taking the medicine we suggested they buy by themselves last time. And the medicine we prepared this time would last for one year. Besides, we were also delighted to find other patients much better after out treatment.
However, many of the children suffer from cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, poliomyelitis and muscular dystrophy, which are calling for rehabilitation and special education.
